Shimla. Corona infection is now spreading rapidly in Himachal Pradesh. For the second consecutive day, more than 1500 corona cases have been reported in Himachal. There have been 1804 corona case reports in 24 hours on Wednesday. Earlier, there were 1528 case reports on Tuesday. Now the number of corona active cases in the state has reached 6937 and the death toll has reached 3870. Sampling of 14726 people has been done on Wednesday.
Corona cases increased in four districts
Corona cases are increasing in district Kangra, Shimla, Mandi, Bilaspur and Hamirpur. On Wednesday, an infected person died at Tanda Medical College in Kangra district. On Wednesday, 411 cases were reported in Kangra, 196 in Shimla, 334 in Solan, 156 in Hamirpur, 161 in Mandi, 119 in Sirmaur, 151 in Una and 107 in Bilaspur. Kangra has maximum 1704 active cases. After this, there are 1122 active cases in Solan. Active cases in the state have reached 466 to 7 thousand in 13 days.
CM Jairam’s meeting with PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a virtual meeting with the Chief Ministers of the country on Thursday. In this, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will apprise the Prime Minister about the situation of Korana in the state. Decisions will be taken according to the instructions of the PM in the cabinet meeting on Friday. Strict orders will be given in the cabinet meeting. There is a discussion that the government can ban the negative report of RTPR test for entry in the state. Due to the increase in the speed of Corona in Himachal, the state government is preparing to run buses going to outside states with 50 percent passengers. This is to be discussed in the cabinet meeting to be held on January 14.
Ban on entry of outsiders in Directorate of Education
As the cases of corona infection increase, the entry of outsiders has been banned in the Directorate of Education. A letter in this regard has been issued on Wednesday by the Director of Higher Education, Dr. Amarjeet Kumar Sharma. He said that the entry of serving teachers and non-teachers, including outsiders, has been banned in the schools and colleges of the state. Staff working in different branches of the directorate have also been banned from going to other branches.
