Giving information about the end of the agreement with BJP, KC Tyagi said that JDU’s state office bearers meeting in Lucknow on January 18 has been called. this meeting UP JDU President Anoop Patel has called. In this meeting, JDU in-charge of UP, KC Tyagi himself will also attend. The names of JDU candidates will be discussed on January 18 itself.

JDU’s National Principal General Secretary KC Tyagi said that discussions on the strategy to fight alone in the UP elections will also be part of the 18 meeting. After considering the 18th meeting, the full list of the names that will be decided as candidates will be sent to the JDU high command. The Central Election Committee of JDU will put the final seal on the names of the candidates.

Let us tell you that for the first two phases of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, BJP has released the list of its candidates. BJP in-charge for UP elections Dharmendra Pradhan gave information about this by holding a press conference on Saturday. He informed that 57 candidates are being announced for the first phase and 48 candidates for the second phase. Along with this, he told that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest elections from Gorakhpur city. Keshav Prasad Maurya will be the BJP candidate from Sirathu seat. BJP has fixed the names of 105 candidates in the list released for the first two phases. With this, the party has re-nominated 63 of the 83 sitting MLAs for these two phases, while the tickets of 20 candidates have been cut. Regarding the UP elections, this move for the BJP is being considered as a big bet to cut the anti-incumbency (anti-incumbency wave).
