In the midst of the third wave of corona, a good news is that from October 12-18 year old children in India should be told that the committee advising the government on Kovid-19 vaccination last month more than 12 years. Cadila going to launch vaccine
News agency Reuters quoted sources as saying that Cadila Healthcare is going to launch the children’s vaccine Zykov-D next month. Let us tell you that the Drugs Controller General of India (DGCI) had given approval for its emergency use last month. Zydus Cadila will start manufacturing 1 crore doses every month from October.
More new vaccines will be available soon
Meanwhile, there is news that Bharat Biotech has also completed the third phase trial of Covaxin on children. The company will hand over the third phase data to DGCI next week. Serum Institute of India is also conducting Phase II and III trials of Kovavax on children aged 2 to 12 years.
Total vaccination coverage of Kovid-19 in India is more than 82.65 crores
India’s vaccination coverage has crossed 82.65 crore (82,65,15,754) as of 7 am today with 75,57,529 vaccine doses delivered in the last 24 hours. This feat has been achieved through 81,05,030 sessions.
Corona situation in the country
With 34,167 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of patients who have recovered (since the start of the pandemic) has increased to 3,27,83,741.
As a result, the recovery rate in India is 97.77%. The recovery rate is the highest level since March 2020.
With the continuous and cooperative efforts of the Center and the States/UTs, the daily number of new cases continues to fall below 50,000 and this situation is being recorded continuously for the last 87 days. 26,964 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
The total active cases at present is 3,01,989. These active cases currently account for just 0.90% of the total confirmed cases in the country. This is the lowest number of active cases since March 2020.
Testing capacity increased
Testing capacity continues to expand across the country. A total of 15,92,395 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. India has so far conducted a total of 55.67 crore (55,67,54,282) investigations.
The weekly confirmed cases rate for the last 89 days is less than 3%, staying at 2.08%. The rate of daily confirmed cases has been recorded at 1.69%. The rate of daily confirmed cases has remained below 3% for the last 23 days and below 5% continuously for the last 106 days.
