Ranveer Singh reacted on Virat Kohli’s decision to leave the captaincy, said – King will always be king

Anushka Sharma’s husband and cricketer Virat Kohli has announced to quit the captaincy of the Indian cricket Test team sometime back and has issued a statement on social media. Everyone is surprised by this decision of Virat Kohli. Virat’s fans are expressing disappointment with his decision. Actor Ranveer Singh, one of Virat’s fans, has also reacted to this. Virat took over the responsibility of the Test cricket team in the year 2014 and after 7 years issued a statement to leave the captaincy through a long post.

Virat Kohli wrote a long post on social media. During this, Virat said that there were many ups and downs in this journey but there was no dearth of efforts or faith. Under his leadership, the Indian Test team performed very well. Under the captaincy of Virat, India reached the final of the first World Test Championship (WTC) but could not win the title.

Reacting to this post of Virat Kohli, Ranveer Singh wrote, “The king will always be the king.” With this, he has included the crown and heart emoji in his comment. At the same time, actor Nakuul Mehta wrote, “Thank you for your service! You made the Indian Test team the best touring team ever.” Apart from Ranveer, Alia Bhatt, Athiya Shetty, Vaani Kapoor, Sara Tendulkar, Arjun Kapoor, Neha Dhupia and many other celebs liked Virat’s post.

Virat Kohli wrote in his post, ‘Working hard and relentless every day for 7 years to take the team in the right direction. I have done this work with utmost sincerity and nothing is left in it. Everything comes to an end at one level or the other and for me as India’s Test captain, it is now. There have been many ups and downs in this journey, but there has never been any lack in effort or faith.”

Virat Kohli further wrote, “I always believe in giving my 120 percent in everything I do and if I can’t do it then I know it’s not right to do it. I have complete clarity in my heart and I can never be dishonest towards my team.”

Virat Kohli further wrote, “I want to thank BCCI for giving me the opportunity to lead my country for so long. More importantly, thank you to all my teammates who supported me from day one and never gave up in any situation. You guys have made this journey so memorable and beautiful.”
