New Delhi. The Kejriwal government has come into action to deal with the new variant of Corona, Omicron Variant. In view of the danger of new variants of Corona, the Delhi government has started strengthening its preparations. In this regard, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a high-level meeting at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday and gave necessary directions to the officers. Kejriwal told that the Delhi government has prepared 30 thousand beds, which includes 10 thousand ICU beds. Also, by February, another 6800 ICU beds will be ready. Kejriwal has said that if needed, 100-100 oxygen beds will be prepared in every ward of Delhi at two weeks’ notice. In this way, our preparation is to prepare 64 to 65 thousand beds. Along with this, Kejriwal said that instructions have been given to install telemetry devices in all the tanks for oxygen management, so that the information of available oxygen is available on real time.

Let us inform that so far 93 percent people in Delhi have got the first dose of the vaccine and 57 percent people have got the second dose. Along with this, preparations are also being taken to deal with the new variant Omicron. The Delhi government is very serious about the possible new variant of Corona. In this review meeting, mainly the current situation of corona, testing and prevention measures, increase in covid-19 beds, training of people for covid management, purchase of medicines for covid-19, home isolation and 1031 helpline, oxygen, All the points including vaccination, genome sequencing, preparation for screening of passengers landing at IGI airport were carefully reviewed. Health Minister Satyendar Jain, Revenue Minister Kailash Gehlot, Chief Secretary and all district magistrates and senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the review meeting.
