Share Market Update: Sensex breaks 12 points, Nifty closes above 18200

Mumbai. After the day’s volatility, the Sensex-Nifty closed in the red mark at the end of trading on Friday. At the end of trading, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) major index Sensex closed at 61,223.03 with a marginal decline of 12.27 points, or 0.02 per cent. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell by 2 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 18,255.80.

In Friday’s trade, shares of IT, Realty, Capital Goods, Power, Utility sectors saw a rise. Asian Paints, Axis Bank, UPL, HUL and ONGC were the top losers of Nifty in today’s trading. While Tata Consumer Products, IOC, TCS, Infosys and L&T were the top gainers.

Sensex closed beyond 61 thousand a trading day ago
A trading day earlier i.e. on Thursday, the Sensex closed at 61,235.30 with a gain of 85.26 points or 0.14 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 18,257.80 with a gain of 45.45 points or 0.25 percent.
